He also identifies and delivers new business development opportunities to the executive team. By coordinating with strategic partners and end customers, he creates product requirements for the engineering group and provides technical details for all materials to the sales and marketing teams. Previously, Tyus served as senior engineer at Time Warner Cable. He managed multiple CPE vendors by creating product definitions, overseeing software schedules, leading technical reviews, defining long-term strategy and vision, and enforcing submission dates. In 2016, Tyus was issued a patent for the automated provisioning of Wi-Fi products that a telecommunications company might install in customers' homes. He earned his B.S. in computer science from Colorado State University and recently graduated from the Cable Center's newly minted Intrapreneurship Academy, geared toward rising stars in the cable industry. William Vallee Broadband Policy and Programs Coordinator Connecticut Broadband Office Vallee is a telecommunications attorney with the Connecticut Office of Consumer Counsel, where he has represented utility consumers before administrative utility regulatory bodies, the FCC, and state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He represented Connecticut as the broadband policy coordinator managing the NTIA State Broadband Initiative data collection/mapping and strategic five-year planning grant and helped author a $94 million grant to create an ultra-high-speed fiber network connecting Connecticut's 169 municipalities. Prior to joining the OCC, Vallee practiced corporate finance law with Hawkins, Delafield & Wood and at Halloran & Sage. He holds a B.A. cum laude in English from Union College and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Roger Vaughn Solutions Engineer OFS Vaughn has more than 22 years in fiber optic cabling, connectivity, and hardware and in the past several years consulted with dozens of customers deploying FTTx throughout North America. At OFS, he works with customers defining solutions for deployment of optical networks from the central office to the home and within the living unit. Vaughn received his B.S. in materials science and engineering from North Carolina State University. Phil Veletzos Vice President RealtyCom Partners Veletzos manages the RealtyCom new construction team, including low-voltage design review services, on-site field engineering support and new construction project management. He also oversees the telecommunications proposal process for new construction opportunities to ensure that the most attractive level of services, infrastructure contributions and complimentary service offerings are available to RealtyCom's new construction clients. Prior to joining RealtyCom in 2013, Veletzos founded a consulting company that provided site acquisition solutions for top-tier domestic cable and phone companies. Before that, he was a general manager with Winstar Communications and held key business development positions with OpTel, Inc. Veletzos began his professional career as a business and real estate attorney based in Los Angeles. He holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A. from UCLA.
