Before joining the governor's office, Best served as director of the Business Education Technology Alliance, which established North Carolina's first statewide virtual public school, a single statewide technology network, and a single portal (elearningnc.gov) for e-learning for all North Carolina citizens. She supports Comcast's Communities team, working with property owners, colleges and universities, developers and homeowners' associations to provide MDU residents access to the best entertainment products and services. She advises Comcast personnel on a wide range of broadband and technology related matters, regulatory issues and commercial transactions.
