Previously, Wachtmann was MIS manager – North America for Haulotte Group, a multinational manufacturer of aerial work platforms. Nate Walowitz Regional Broadband Program Director Northwest Colorado Council of Governments (NWCCOG) Since 2014, Walowitz's technical advisory services to local governments have led to the deployment of broadband to unserved areas and brought more than $6 million in grant funding to northwestern Colorado community broadband projects. Most recently, NWCCOG won a $1 million matching grant to build out an open-access, resilient, middle-mile network across 10 counties in northwestern Colorado. Prior to joining NWCCOG, Walowitz consulted for industry and governments, providing innovative business solutions in IT, wireless deployment, terrestrial networks and applications, and public safety communications solutions and standards. He started his career in telecommunications with world-class corporations that included Avant-Garde Computing, Southwestern Bell and Wildfire Communications. Walowitz serves his community as a lieutenant with Evergreen Fire Rescue and with the Jefferson County Type 3 Incident Management Team. Ben Waltzer National Real Estate Partnerships Google Fiber Waltzer currently leads Google Fiber's real estate partnerships team, bringing next-generation broadband and connected home capabilities to some of the largest multifamily owners, operators and developers across the United States. He is a 10-year Google/Alphabet veteran who joined Google through its $3 billion acquisition of DoubleClick in 2008. Waltzer has held various positions at Google/Alphabet, helping to build sales and partnership teams across its digital advertising and Google Fiber business units. He is based in Austin, Texas. Nathan Watkins City Manager Mont Belvieu, Texas Watkins has worked for Mont Belvieu for eight years. Previously, he served in the United States Navy for six years as a member of Naval Special Warfare and as a crewmember of the USS Enterprise, deploying to Iraq and the Persian Gulf. Watkins's primary focus as city manager is implementing value-creating strategies during unprecedented growth. He attended the University of Houston, where he earned a B.A. in political science and an M.A. in public administration. He continued his education by completing a resident program at Harvard University and obtained a certificate from the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma. Watkins is an avid hiker and adventure traveler who recently completed a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp and has spent time on Mount Rainier and the highest mountain summits in Texas.
