On Wednesday, it's Lessons Learned from Turn-Around Communities. Four communities that suffered a few bumps on the way to broadband success pass along the invaluable lessons they learned. And Thursday brings Rural, Yes Rural, Broadband Success Stories. Hot, hot, hot: We've got the big-buzz topics covered. A Conversation with the Big Carriers on Where They're Going starts us going on Tuesday. On Wednesday, it's 5G: From Gee-Whiz to Making It Work; Wired and Wireless; In Sickness and in Health….Benefits of Marrying Telehealth and Community Broadband; Marketing: The Secret Key to Deployment Success and The Future of Work. Thursday's offerings include two IoT sessions: IoT: Living up to the Buzz with New Technologies and IoT Systems: Who Maintains Them? And if you're really into IoT, it starts with a Monday workshop: Intelligent Multifamily Communities – How to Maximize the Benefits and Mitigate the Risk of the Internet of Things. MDU newbies: Deployers: What's Your Winning Strategy?; Wanna Better Way to Boost In- Building Signal Strength? Think CBRS; Small Internet Providers: What MDUs Need to Know; MDUs and WISPS: We Can Work It Out; and The ABCs of BMS (Building Management Systems). It pays to cooperate. The surge in co-ops stepping up to the plate to bring high-speed connections to their communities is continuing – and our sessions covering it continue to grow. We start Monday with a 2-hour workshop, Co-ops 101: Questions and Challenges Cooperatives Face in Evaluating a Broadband Deployment. On Wednesday, Electric Cooperatives: The Emerging Power Player in Broadband Deployments brings advice from electric cooperative leaders who've deployed or are deploying broadband. And lest it sounds too easy…. there's Co-op Trailblazers: The Good. The Bad and the Ugly on the Way to a Deployment on Thursday. Show Us the Money. It all starts with the Benjamins. At the Summit, we'll start right off on Tuesday with three funding sessions: Rural Funding 1: State of Play From the USDA highlights what the feds have for us. Rural Funding 2: Investment Opportunities takes up strategies for going after private investment funds. And Howdy, Partner! lays out win-win examples of the multiple ways to collaborate. Wednesday brings Looking for Alternatives for Funding Your Municipal Fiber? And on Thursday we sum it all up at our final session, Super Fun- ding Way to End the Summit. For all of the above and more, you and I have the fantastic Broadband Communities team to thank as well as our dedicated Summit leaders and our MDU Chairs and Advisory Panel of Property Owners who create this timely and dynamic program.
