He works with development teams and consulting firms on service provider selection and infrastructure requirements for voice, data, video and other community technology services. Prior to joining Lennar, Acker worked as director of Resident Technology Services for RealPage, Inc., responsible for negotiating all service provider agreements for RealPage clients. Christopher Ali, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Department of Media Studies University of Virginia Ali has worked for the FCC, submitted research to the Swiss Office of Communication, consulted with the South Korean Committee on the impact of media concentration, and was part of a consortium of researchers, activists and practitioners intervening at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission regarding community and local media. In 2016–2017, Ali was a fellow at the Tow Center for Digital Journalism researching the state of small-market newspapers in the United States. Along with Damian Radcliffe, he published two reports on the subject, including Local News in A Digital World: Small Market Newspapers in the Digital Age. In 2017, he was a fellow at the Center for Advanced Research in Global Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently a Faculty Research Fellow at the Benton Foundation and an academic fellow with the World Economic Forum. Abhay Ambati Senior Vice President, Technology Services Logical Buildings Ambati has more than a decade of experience working on 300-plus high- and mid-rise apartment buildings and commercial and institutional properties in the United States. At Logical Buildings, he leverages building design, existing building infrastructure, construction processes and building staff requirements to design, manage and implement smart, scalable, connected buildings. He also works closely with product and service vendors globally to help develop additional value streams for clients' existing buildings and new construction. Ambati holds degrees in architecture and real estate development from the Indian Institutes of Technology and New York University and is a PMP, CEA, MFBA, CWNA, CWTS and LEED GA.
