In Print and Online I s there still a place for print magazines in this digital world? Emphatically yes, say many BROADBAND COMMU- NITIES readers, who tell us they save the magazine and read it "cover to cover." Te magazine's popular fiber-to-the- home primer, which is published both as a magazine insert and as a stand-alone publication, has been used to educate local officials and entire communities about the benefits of fiber broadband. Getting this publication physically into readers' hands has built support for true broadband in many communities. Of course, there's a place for digital magazines, too. Over the last several years, BROADBAND COMMUNITIES has continued to expand its digital presence. Te digital edition (bbcmag.epubxp. com), now updated and easier than ever to read and navigate, is gaining new subscribers all the time. An increasing number of readers subscribe to both the print and digital editions. Te digital edition parallels the print edition of the magazine, but it usually contains bonus information in addition to what's in print – and occasionally we publish digital-only bonus editions. Subscribers receive email alerts when each new digital edition is published and can click on the emailed links to ac- cess the publication. Individual articles are always avail- able online in PDF format, and the featured articles shown in the rotating graphic on our home page are available in HTML format as well. Te Web is the best venue for break- ing news about broadband trends, new technologies and fiber-to-the-home deployments, and we've separated this news from the print and digital edi- tions so we can publish it on a daily basis. You'll find timely news items on the bbcmag.com home page under "News & Views" and "Fiber Deploy- ment Roundup." You can also subscribe to these news feeds via RSS. Our Twit- ter feed @bbcmag provides a stream of news alerts and commentary. Also online are many resources for broadband deployers, including our da- tabase of FTTH deployments (fiberville. com), FTTH financial analysis tools (ftth analyzer.com) and a library of video interviews (bbcmag.com/2012s/2012- Video-clips.php). Finally, to ensure that you continue to have privileged access to BBC's online resources, renew or subscribe to the digi- tal or print edition on the magazine's home page or at www.bbcmag.com/ subscribe.
